Kinematifest

What to Submit

Current High School, Undergraduate, Graduate, and Certificate students may submit projects for screening to Kinematifest for consideration. All entrants will be required to fill out our entry form, certifying that they meet the requirements, and that they hold all the rights to the materials that they have submitted. Entrants agree to allow Kinematifest and Webster University the rights to use these materials for promotional and educational purposes. Projects submitted to Kinematifest in past years are not eligible.

Animation (e.g. Shorts and Visual Effects)

Upload or submit your files as .mov, .flv, or .mp4 file types. It is recommended to submit files with a resolution of at least 480p*.

Visual Art (e.g. Concept, Sequential and 3D Models)

Upload or submit your files as .png, .jpg, .gif, or .tiff*. 3D Models should be submitted as rendered turntables or fly-throughs as .mov, .flv, or .mp4 files.

Interactive Media (e.g. Games, Applications and Websites)

Upload or submit your original source files, with the url included if the site is active online.

*Images will be projected onto a large screen for the showcase. In order to have the best representation of your art, please submit the highest resolution version available.

One winner will be selected by jury per category to receive a cash award. In addition there will be an audience choice award voted on at the screening by the attendees. If none of the entries in any particular category meet the criteria for recognition, the category may be eliminated at the judges’ discretion. If an individual or project does not meet the criteria for eligibility, the entry may be eliminated at the judges’ discretion.
